I usually get my hair cut once a month. I have a very short hairstyle on the sodes and longer on the top. However, it starts looking awful when it gets to the 1 month mark.
My barber charges me 11.5$ and he does a good job. I cannot find lower proces around me. Maybe I could but it would be at bad unqualified places. But he accepts cash only (tax evasion).
My parents forbid me from cutting my hair in my bathroom( they say hair gets everywhere) and tell me to go to the barber. But both withdrawing money solely for this and sitting there is extremely tedious.
Is 11.5-12$ too much for a haircut? Once a month.

no, thats inexpensive for a haircut
I get my hair as short as possible and then go every 3 months.
That’s crazy cheap.

I cut mine outside, less cleanup that way
expensive no, the price is ok.
one solution for cutting your hair yourself is to cut it outside, I do that as much as I can (same reason as you)
but really hair goes everywhere if you don’t pay attention. now I do that when I am alone , be careful and clean it right away: no hair anywhere. just shake your clothes outside and put in the hamper just after cutting.
Very cheap for a decent haircut.
How often you should go is a question only you can answer.
if it’s worth it to you, then no.
thats pretty good imo. the problem is tax/tip on top, unless thats all in.
I paid that 15 years ago 💀
I pay $10 for mine, used to visit monthly. awhile ago, I invested in a hair clipper, now I can trim my hair so it last for another month before I go get a hair cut.
get a dyson and just suck up the hair with the vacuum.
My haircut costs £30 so 12 bucks looks cheap to me.
Is the haircut any good? if not then it is too much, if not it is a great deal.
Completely reasonable compensation for the service.
But…that’s $10,000 over your lifetime.
Personally I’d learn how to cut my own hair and keep that $10,000.
Which is what I’ve done and have never paid for a haircut in my life. A penny saved is a penny earned.
No, thats super cheap.
Without an indication of location, how are we to answer ?
Seems cheap for a western city, seems expensive for rural argentina
Bargain. Haircut where I live are at least $50. I get one every 3-6 months
No. That’s as cheap as you can get it.
How old are you?
Is there something that prevents you from cutting your own hair and cleaning up the mess before your parents find it?
