heard this on a podcast about family businesses. basically like when the founder grinds and builds everything, next gen gets it easy and ruins it. good times create weak men or whatever that saying is. do yall think this is real? like is inheritance actually a curse for motivation?
Is the saying 'Good times create weak men' actually true about inheritance?

Look up the studies on it – family wealth is generally squandered very quickly
Parents living a lifestyle instead of supporting their children raise weak men. And women. Wealth can exacerbate the issue on hand.
Totally, the dad struggles super hard to build wealth and realises its value and DOESNT WANT HIS SON TO GO THRU THE SAME, and gives him a life full of resources and that totally logical.
Except that the son now never learns to value the money or the struggles, its a sure shot way straight to the bottom sooner or later the dads wealth would crumble.
Most successful people have gotten a significant push from their family connections or wealth.
Also the quote itself cannot be generalized and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
It’s probably busy and weak men create weaker men.
There are two types of Wealth :
1) Capital Wealth (Assets, Luxuries)
2 ) Social wealth (Good will, Social Connections etc)
Today social wealth is more in demand. Celebrities and companies are spend huge amount on their PR team.
