Being an individual who is a chronic solo sleeper, my mattress had developed a low spot in the center over the past 7 or so years. I was literally about to head to reddit to do some research to not be over-sold like I was when I bought this "Simmons Beautyrest PressureSmart Pro Plush pillow top" mattress but I had an idea…

I put a not very heavy towel down on the center of my bedframe, folded into thirds lengthwise, and set the mattress on top of that. The once-visible bowl is now gone and the mattress doesn't guide me toward the center any longer.

This mattress was over $1100 new so I figure if I can squeeze another year out of it, great! If it sleeps badly or I wake up feeling unwell, I'll undo it.

Thought it was time for a new mattress, but found another solution

r/MattressMod has ideas about improving your mattress.

When you’re ready to buy again r/Mattress is a great resource.

Good hack for fixing a sagging couch (other than actually repairing it like a normal person): put a large, flattened cardboard box under the cushions.

Dude, just get a new mattress. It’s not worth messing with your sleep or your back.
