I am hosting Friendsgiving at my place this year and I'm really excited about it!

I have most of what I need at home already but need to buy things for the day of, and my grocery store of choice is Aldi.

I am quite curious when from now until Black Friday (that's the last day I have to shop until the day of) is the best time to get a spiral ham.

Do they have sales on their stock to clear it out after the holiday right after? Is the day after Thanksgiving a good time to go shopping for a spiral ham? Or should I go sometime this week (maybe today or mon-wed) to get the ham? What would you do? Does anyone have any tips to consider?

I'd really like to impress my guests, but I just want to be sure I don't break the bank trying to get a ham in time for next Saturday.

When is the best time to get a good deal on spiral ham at Aldi between now and Black Friday?

I can’t give you any guarantees, but my experience in past years when I looked for a spiral ham at aldi, the prices seem to be consistent from now until Christmas.

    2. I recommend against spiral sliced ham in the first place. It cooks worse than if it’s cut after it’s cooked.

Aldi ham prices are consistently higher than almost all other major supermarkets during the holidays. The issue is that most other supermarkets have ham as a loss leader to get people in through the door during both Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.

Aldi will often have ham marked down early in the new year to get rid of excess inventory, but it’s still usually more expensive than the holiday sales at other stores.

    3. You should take a look at your sales flyer, but in my observation, they’ve pretty much kept a consistent price throughout the holiday holidays.

    4. Usually there are some good sales/price reductions before Easter. I can’t say I have ever seen much of one before Christmas (although check the sales for Christmas if you need one for then) and especially for Thanksgiving. Turkey is the thing.
