I am interested in starting something of my own after being in SaaS sales for 7 years. I am not a tech guy but i can sell it .
Curious where can i find people who are in a similar headspace looking to start something of thier own.
I am located in Toronto, Canada

Check out AngelList co-founder matching, there’s also some solid Discord servers for this kinda thing. Toronto has a pretty decent startup scene so maybe hit up some local meetups too – way easier to vibe check someone in person before you commit to building something together
definitely try some local tech meetups and uni hackathons around toronto! i’ve seen so many people there specifically looking for business/sales cofounders to balance out their technical skills.
Hey! I’d love to connect with you. I live nearby (Mississauga). Would you be interested in setting up a meeting sometime?
I’m building the solution. It’s a venture collaboration platform. Every single co founder tool sucks and has it wrong. You start with a venture profile. Think Google business profile but for developing ideas instead of established business. From there your venture is discoverable. No one is Googling “show me education startups in Chicago” for example. If they are Google ain’t made for that it serves websites. Early stage ideas don’t have websites. Once you discover a venture the platform has built in collaboration tools and it acts sort of like GitHub but instead of managing code your managing the development of your venture and helps integrate humans that join you.
Check out Ben at NextPlay. They offer a free newsletter that sends out numerous tech-related opportunities, and people can find co-founders through their ecosystem. They have a large audience of people who have a variety of backgrounds and have also been in the start-up world.
YC Co-founder Matching tool.
have you tried Y Combinator coFounder match up? I meet and talk to cool people every week. You might find a good match especially if you are from US/Canada.
Also, look around your circle in other platform like LinkedIn or niche groups on Facebook.

Try to look within your own friend circles. Positives are: you already know who to trust, who is lazy vs who will get the work done, who you have a good understanding with. I guess you can try searching elsewhere if you can’t find anyone from that list. Finding a good co-founder is so essential.
As a techie founder myself, I have to ask, what’s your personal USP? I mean, I could just hire a sales person – what would you bring that’s outsize value?
