What tech dominance? Nvidia designs the chip it’s tsmc that makes them.

Didn’t read it. If Nvidia doesn’t sell it to them, then they will develope their own chips (as they do, and accelerated it after export bans) same is with tech to manufacture the chips.
Currently they are able to manufacture 7 nm. China also banned using of foreign chips in state backed data center to grow demand of domestic chips. China is going for western tech dominance for last nice couple of years from now on.
My guess is that within 3-5 years their chips will be internationally competitive. All you can do in my opinion is just to keep being better… Export bans can make it only worse
Plus chinese AI are quite often open source 😉

So what? Decades of American tech dominance has lead us to an economy of inequality, unaffordability, and an oligarch class enriched by the tech sector. Let China come in and steam roll them, I don’t care.

Honestly it’s only a matter of time before China catches up, and potentially surpasses US in tech dominance, especially with the investment PRC puts in this regard.
