I'm running a small business that requires me to spend $1000-1500 on materials a month. The paypal debit card offers 5% cash back on a category of your choosing (apparel). I purchase my materials off of aliexpress and alibaba which are considered "apparel". This lets me consistently reach the cashback limit of $1000 on the paypal debit card. My question is:
Is it there a better option than the paypal mastercard to use on the excess purchases past the $1000 cashback limit to earn travel points or even more cashback (>3%). I exclusively use paypal to purchases these materials and I have been putting the cashback rewards away towards a trip/vacation.
Are there any downsides to the Paypal Mastercard that I am unaware of?
Exceeding the $1000 Cash Back limit on PayPal Debit Card, should I get the mastercard too?

I was unable to use both the PayPal mastercard and PayPal debit at the same time. If you have even $1 in your PayPal account, paying with PayPal will pull the money from your PayPal balance and then pull the rest from the linked checking account. Setting the paypal credit card as the default doesn’t fix this. No setting can change this. Customer support has no solution.
The only way to force PayPal to charge the transaction to your PayPal mastercard is to transfer your entire balance out and unlink your checking account. Unfortunately this will also cancel your PayPal mastercard’s auto pay with no notice. The card is also issued and managed by synchrony which has a reputation for having awful customer service. Synchrony also notoriously hates business spend on personal cards. There are frequent posts on this and related subs about synchrony closing all of someone’s accounts without warning.
