I think I made the right choice going after boring tech problems in my industry and not chasing the AI hype.

Hire slow: We had our biggest year in 2024 and hired to match, then sales tanked mostly due to economy and we had to lay everyone off again. Super sucked. I now believe in hiring one at a time and fully integrating before another hire. Means slower scale but more sustainable scale.

Most people love shiny objects; they think the price is what matters. If an item is expensive, they assume it must be good, yet they would be surprised by how a less expensive item can be of great quality as well. Some people do not like to build by starting small, despite the testimonies of individuals who started with very little and are now wealthy. In conclusion, I’ve learned that freedom does not have to be expensive.
