What exactly is the hype behind Zec and Monero and why are the two factions feuding all day on Reddit and other platforms?

And thirdly, why don't other holders ever mention these as worthwhile altcoin investments, yet both have been climbing essentially in a straight line for a while now. Is there a catch I'm not realizing?

The entire thing is just so confusing to me sorry I'm new. Thanks in advance to all humans commenting!

    1. Because XMR isn’t an investment. It’s to establish private wealth. It’s meant to be used. Ztrash is fueled by hype. XMR is fueled by utility.

Edit : how many Ztrash to 1000$ posts did you see when it started pumping? Hundreds. It gained traction from social media. XMR on the other hand has survived practically every single country banning it from centralized exchanges. AFIAK only 1 CEX has it listed in America and that’s kraken. It’s a grassroots movement. And it’s THRIVING. Can’t stop the signal no matter how hard you try. If you want TRUE privacy, Monero is the one true privacy coin with pirate coin next in line.
