Recently bought a home in CT. Out of curiosity I checked the property record (property card). My spouse is listed as owner and I’m listed as co-owner.
I checked other listings in the neighborhood and it lists both partners under owner (ex: Bob & James Fapperpants) and the co-owner is left blank. Does any of this matter? Why the difference?

Welp I searched more property records. Newer purchases seem to break them out. Not sure how they determine owner and co-owner.
It doesn’t matter, also I recommend getting out of Utah
owner usually holds primary control, while co owner shares rights depending on agreement. Details matter, so read deeds carefully before assuming
