So I've come across two or three and I am by no means trying to advertise for them so I won't mention their names. What I'm looking for is a bot that does not sound robotic, can answer calls, and ideally schedule appointments for the sales team. By bot I mean an AI call assistant/receptionist. There are some amazing bots out there but honestly I've found them difficult to find, and also difficult figuring out how to roll it out
I genuinely think today's voice AI could handle the bulk of what call centers do, even though I know that's a hot take. Dentist and doctor offices are already using them to book appointments, and I'm looking at doing the same thing for my trades business, and likely my car dealership as well.
If anyone's curious, I can share what I've been looking at. The call center folks might push back on this (I respect all of you), but honestly, I'd rather go with a bot that can already do what I need.

Been using one for our HVAC business for about 6 months now and it’s honestly been a game changer. The scheduling part works great but you gotta train it properly on your specific services and pricing – took us like 2 weeks to get it dialed in right
What kind of trades are you in? Some of the better ones are industry-specific and that makes a huge difference for booking accuracy
Built one myself 6 months for cold calling Med Spas. It took 3 weeks to build and train.
But now with vibe coding tools it’s like 3 days and incredibly efficient. Plus there’s so much beyond just the phone interaction and scheduling which can be done. It’s mostly just prompt based build outs too. Happy to share more if this sounds helpful
