Location: Mesquite Nv I was only behind 3 months on my storage unit. It had everything I owned including my parents cremated remains. I had been in contact with management so they knew what my situation was… and wouldn’t work with me on anything. I’m an only child and a single mother and I’m just trying to do the best I can. I finally got the money together to pay it in full and i find out they auctioned it off already. Can they legally do that.

That’s absolutely heartbreaking and I’m so sorry this happened to you. Most storage facilities have to follow specific notice requirements before auctions – check your contract and state laws because 3 months might not have been enough notice depending on Nevada’s requirements
Your contract with them has a lot more relevant information than strangers on reddit. I’ve bought storage units at auction, as far as I know, it’s perfectly legal.
