I built something useful, it's live, and… crickets.

I don't have money to throw at ads. I'm not some influencer with 50k followers. I'm just a dev who made a thing that solves a problem I had.

What actually works for getting those first 5-10 paying users?

    I've tried:

    • Posting in relevant subreddits (got some interest but no sales)
    • Twitter (lol, what engagement?)
    • Product Hunt (planning to launch but nervous it'll flop)

I'm on MuleRun which supposedly has a bunch of users already browsing, but I'm wondering if I should be doing more to drive traffic directly to my listing.

Anyone bootstrapped their way to first customers?

How tf do you get your first customers for an AI agent without a marketing budget?

just curious. Did you do market validation before starting your project? it might be the problem that you are trying to solve, people are not even looking at it

If I were you, I would find partners who can place it with your future clients and ask for their opinion.

    3. Where are the people whose problem your app is solving? Where is their most common gathering spot?

Go there and figure out a way to put your name in front of their eyes. Even if It’s officially against the rules. Find a way to do it legally.

Last year, I launched an AI app and got my first customer 15 minutes after creating the social media account. 200 sales in first month. Did not post on Twitter/Reddit/product hunt. All that was needed was finding a niche site where **EVERYONE** that could buy my product hung out. Dumped as much exposure as I legally could (a lot, to my surprise).
