Thought it would be fun if we all do a little year-end recap of some stocks we sold this year, since so many posts are about what to buy. I don't usually sell stocks, but my holdings had become quite lengthy and not very well balanced, so I decided to do a little consolidation.

    NVDA, 3000 shares @ $100
    NBIS, 1000 shares @ $33
    AMD, 1000 shares @ $90
    OKLO, 900 shares @$18.02
    MU, 1000 shares @$65.36

Disclaimer: Without context, some of these may look like bad choices, but it's not like I spent all my money on candy. Overall I have no regrets, and the peace of mind I have going forward is immeasurable.

What did you SELL this year?

      Only RKLB

      500@ 60 usd
      600@ 77 usd

Bought 1.1k shares @ 14 dollar average, so nice gains, but its overvalued right now. I will buy back in though, its a great company.

    2. Mainly trade. Looks like 79 different one this year. Top trades. (Long ASTS, RKLB now)

      $20K ASTS
      $13K HIMS
      $12K HOOD
      $11K RR
      $5K RKLB

    3. Nada. I usually subscribe to the idea of “don’t sell unless you have somewhere better to put it,” and my ass ain’t buying property or retiring anytime soon.

    4. I’m not in the habit of selling my winners. I wait for them to dump below my cost basis and sell only then.

    5. Asml after riding it from $700 to $1000 in a couple months

Swapped it out for Meta at $600

I’m typically buy and hold but I have a small amount, relative to my portfolio size, set aside for swing trading

JDEP, good gains and don’t really care to see if there is further upside after the merger

Sold 11 shares of MSFT at $477 and bought more RKLB at $26 in June. Quite happy with that

    8. Sold PYPL – they don’t seem to be going anywhere. And: as a consumer, their product still sucks. Sold PVH – no moat (while i.e. TPR doing real well: pricing power). Hanging on to everything else (very diversified, large portfolio). NVDA, AMD, MU – still a keeper. Underlying trends still going on, strong execution, good financials. Only reason I sell is those companies that have no moat or execution issues. Still debating over ADBE (their financial trend looks good – the lackluster performance this year I think is attributed to AI scare if they are able to hold up. I believe they should be, human creativity can’t be replaced by AI)

    9. Originally bought RKLB at $4, then sold at 58, then bought back in at 45 and 38.

I did it wrong, I was supposed to be buying high and selling low 🙁

Like people have already said, I don’t sell winners I hold them. I sold losers or lacklusters like xiaomi and EUFN

    11. Sold jpm I was up around 80% it wasn’t much and I felt it won’t go up as much from this point on as it did in the past year so decided to sell.

    12. A little over a year ago but I sold a TON of OKLO at $7 because someone convinced me it was a scam. I don’t like that person very much wherever they may be
