    1. 30+ years ago, I worked for a seaweed processing company. Back in the day, our roving seaweed expert visited this tribe in South-West Madagascar, looking for new sources of red seaweed that produces carrageenan.

      He carefully explained to them that if they gathered it, the company would give them money for it.

      “And what do we do with that?” They asked. End of negotiations.
