->China is still restricting the rare earth elements that the US needs to produce its own permanent magnets and other products even after President Donald Trump reached a deal with his Chinese counterpart in October to lift restrictions on the supplies, according to market participants.
->Official Chinese data released Dec. 20 showed magnet supplies to the US dropped 11% in November from the month before, but remain above the lows seen when Beijing restricted them in April.
->The White House didn’t respond to a request for comment for this article. Administration officials have said in recent weeks that China is complying with the terms of the deal on rare earth supplies.
Did anyone really think China would let American entities front-run 5 or 10 years of Rare earth inventory.. completely negating china’s bargaining power? Of course they aren’t going to sell unlimited amounts of raw materials to a country that is openly economically hostile toward them.
It’s just a waiting game for all of these countries Trump has tried to blackmail, they’ll give the bare minimum so he can get a meaningless headline, and just wait until he is gone in 3 years.
If he survives for 3 years. You don’t see alot of Morbidly Obese 90 year olds.

Everyone is in the same boat – just waiting for him to leave – because a batch of easily duped voters in the USA picked this guy.
I don’t blame Trump. I’m reminded of the parable of the scorpion and the frog. He is what he is. We all knew who he was in 2015. Also I have empathy for the suckers who voted for him, thinking he would do them some good. They were duped.
I do have strong feelings for the reprobates in positions of power who could have, should have restrained this malevolent actor. Mitch McConnell, Roger Ailes and the Murdoch family, even John Fetterman. The senators from Alaska and Maine. Jeezus. So many people had the chance to steer us right. So many people failed us.
