A lot of people ask this, and honestly, it’s one of the hardest questions to answer.
There’s rarely a perfect moment where everything lines up. More savings, more time, more confidence. Most people wait for that moment and end up waiting forever. What usually matters more is whether you’re clear on why you want to start and whether you’re willing to learn as you go.
For some, it starts as a side project while keeping a steady job. For others, it’s when staying where they are feels riskier than trying something new. Fear doesn’t disappear. You just decide it’s no longer in control.
If you’re constantly thinking about a problem you want to solve, willing to start small, and prepared for discomfort, that’s often the real signal. Not that you’re “ready,” but that you’re ready to begin figuring it out.

It’s always the right time to start a business. Business by definition is just the ability to transact between individuals or companies. I don’t think there’s any reason not to start your business immediately!
When you still make the bare minimum and live paycheck to paycheck.
