I wonder if this also affects crop dusting.
The article is behind paywall so maybe this is already in the article.
These contrails left by airplanes trap heat in the atmosphere, just like greenhouse gasses do. This actually causes about half the warming effects of the aviation industry. I also could be avoided really easy by avoiding certain places in the air(I believe really cold ones), with only 1% longer flight times on average. So if the title of the article is real and there is something being done against this that would be great!
It would too funny if they accidently were banning jet engines.
