That kid is going to be very happy with their 20-year-old self for making that trade.

That is incredible financial literacy for a 10-year-old. While most kids are asking for toys that lose value in a few months, he’s already focused on building a future. In 10 years, he is going to be so grateful you allowed him to make this choice. Are you planning to show him how to move it to cold storage next?

Always good investing young but also I’m in the camp of letting kids be kids too

I’d that kid made his own research and came to the BTC conclusion on their own, kudos to them, they’re gonna go far, like they say in the song! If they’ve been coaxed into it, then I’m not too sure it’s such a good thing. Like another commenter mentioned, letting kids be kids is a better way I think.

No kid will forgo gifts for investing into something that isn’t real unless convinced heavily by a parent. I understand allowances which my kid does, but for Xmas, I’m going to call 🧢
