I never left the save plan, I decided to let it ride out and hope for a miracle. With the recent announcement of garnishments starting in January I started doing some research. Since we haven’t been making payments does that mean that those of us who stayed are all delinquent and will be garnished. My aidvantage account shows no payment due until 1/28/26 in the amount of $312.61. When I go to the studentaid.gov website it shows a monthly payment of $312.00 a past due amount of $6240.00 and a total due on 12/28/25 of $6552.00. Am I wrong to think this administration is going to show those of us on the save plan delinquent and start garnishing us in January?

Are you delinquent or in forbearance? If the former, yes, the latter, no, you would not be garnished.
Garnishment is only for defaulted loans. If you were are SAVE you are on forbearance, which is an authorized suspension of payments.
