I'm not talking about an automated trading bot that executes your strategy. I want to know how many (if any) of you use Al to do the whole thing.

From analyzing the market to deciding your trades.

I'll start today with 10k lines of code that don't lead the Al in any particular direction (I'm not telling it the strategy), it just lets it spin off in deep searches with various tools to generate different reports like an automated hedge fund.

The API cost is gonna be high, but I'm confident that the trade losses will dwarf it! Wish me luck!

How many of you regards are straight up leaving trade decisions to an AI?

This is some next level of stupidity, I mean letting AI handle your money completely? That’s gonna end badly but I guess it’ll be interesting to watch

    2. Reminds me of the AI vending machine that ended up trying to buy PS5s…I’m sure this’ll go amazing.

I’m a web developer and this is my bot errors

    4. Fun story.

I tried this two years ago. I set up certain buy and sell conditions. But the thing that I didn’t do was properly set the amounts. So I got a notification that my trade of 1000 shares of NVDA didn’t go through. Which is extremely unfortunate.

    5. Not me. I love the excitement of making my own strategy and earning profits. Keeps my investment mind sharp and intuitions on the mark. AI reduces neruonal connections in brain… basically brainrot!

How would you do the whole thing with AI? Which platform allows this? Looks like I need a AI trading 101 here. The only thing I know is that I could ask AI assistants like ChatGPT if I should buy a particular stock.. lol

I wouldn’t let it handle my money completely but I’ve gotten a few good bio tech picks from open ai’s deep research.

Lmao this is gonna be expensive as hell but honestly kinda genius in a completely retarded way

Hope your AI doesn’t discover options and decide to YOLO everything into 0DTE SPY calls

    9. lol, I use Ai to speed up analysis, but I always take it with a grain of salt, especially after it told me to buy NVDA at 215 lol, just learn price action and macro structures

    10. Leaving it to AI is a win-win situation:

If it gets better returns – i have nothing to complain about (except worrying about losing my position as my wife’s boyfriend’s girlfriend’s husband)
If it loses money as i do –

    11. I let AI trade BTC for a few months, fully automated portfolio management. I gave it 2.5k and it lost like $100-200 mostly because of fees. It used a whole library of indicators to inform decisions, level 2 market data, etc. Now I use AI to build automated options strategies which has worked better for me so far.

The only way “bots” work in trading is HFT. Outside of that there is no reasonable way you can trade a market that runs on emotion instead of logic.

    13. Look… I’m a retard but I still have functioning parts of my brain that make me breathe, brush my teeth and know that AI right now is not for regarding

    14. Other-Reaction1499 on

I’ve used ChatGPT to explain things to me. If I read something here I dont understand, I’ll ask it. Explain all the different options trading. Explain the candles and volume.

I’m not a fan of letting it pick trades. It feels like because of its programming and/or research database, its… I dunno. I was like, if you had $500 and wanted to invest in energy, where would you put it? And it’ll rattle off the top 5 choices, and end it with, leaning towards *blank* because thats solar and renewables are the future.

      🤷‍♂️

    15. This is wsb … For half the community it wouldn’t change any , random bets are random bets anyway ..
For the the other half it would be an improvement

I mean the AI race is making me money but that’s because I’m growth index funds and chill

    17. People keep making the same mistake over and over with AI they literally want it to live your life for you at this point…..

Its an amazing TOOL but thats what it should be looked at as, simply a tool to use and assist but people are taking it to far letting it make major decisions for you and control things that are valuable to you, using AI to scan data and study it and then learning from that not letting AI tell you what to do and where to docit

    18. I recently started a profile with Autopilot. I took $4k profit from my first profile and opened a second one with it.. I was straight losing money as regard on my own. Can’t complain for now.

    19. I read a paper on competitive practices and ai which made it sound like it ai platforms would find a way to collude together and all benefit in the long run.
