Hey guys! This is my first post here, as I am coming to this community as a way of learning more about economics. As a bit of my background, I have a law degree and I am currently a medical student (yeah, crazy career shift), as such, I have had Political Economy, which basically taught us the kinds of markets (monopoly, oligopoly and free market competition), interaction between money, families and business and macroeconomy, in which we had a focus on Keynesianism (I read Manuel Porto's "Economia: Um Texto Introdutório", which I guess is standard in Portugal).
My goal is to better understand political decision making, economic policies, the concept of money, central banks, interest rates, etc.
I would love sugestions of books to read, as I am currently on vacation, or some help formulating a plan on where to start. In fact, any kind of material would be appreciated (videos, podcats, whatever, truly). I am able to read in english, portuguese, spanish and a little bit of italian, but i would rather stick to english or portuguese.
Thank you so much for your time and cheers!
Best way to learn macroeconomics for a beginner?
