I’ve been trying to live more frugally for a while now, focusing more on being intentional rather than just cutting costs everywhere. There’s a lot of advice out there, and some of it is helpful, but I still feel like certain everyday problems don’t really have great, practical solutions yet.
I’m not talking about extreme frugality or doing things that make life harder just to save a few dollars. More like realistic, day-to-day challenges that keep coming up even when you’re trying to be mindful with money.
For you personally, what’s one frugal-related problem you wish someone would actually solve properly? Something you’ve struggled with, researched a lot, or tried multiple “solutions” for but none of them fully worked.
Curious to hear what others are running into

    1. How to store bulk potatoes and onions separately that makes sense in my small kitchen. Haha “cool” places don’t exist when the most logical place for storing them is next to the fridge and the oven, both of which expel heat.

    3. Organization is an ongoing challenge. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for roughly how things will look for me when everything is fully organized… but as someone with a lot of material-components hobbies, the lowest-cost way to make everything I want to make involves gathering materials in advance, often plucking them out of various waste streams. When I’m doing organization right, I can make basically anything I want out of stuff that I already have on hand, because I can find things easily but they’re not in the way while being stored. But it’s close enough to the bad kind of hoarding that I have to be really careful to not over-accumulate stuff I don’t actually use.
