Then why are Venezuelans celebrating? We are so polarized as a society. There can still be win-win scenarios. Vote Blue during midterms regardless.
In 1960 Venezuelan GDP per Capita was greater than 80% of the U.S. By 1970 it was the richest nation in Latin America and the top 20 richest nations in the world. By 2020 Venezuela’s GDP per capita had fallen to less than 5% of the US. The chart is either meaningless or was mislabeled.
