You collect the money and the experience from your 9-5, and you invest the money for your future dreams!

You work in your 9-5 until you have success with your startup!

You can do it without a 9-5, but it will be much harder.

Your 9-5 is not killing your dreams, it‘s building them!

    1. This is the only way to do it without losing your mind. Trying to build a business while you are broke usually leads to making bad, desperate decisions. The 9-5 is basically your first investor. Just don’t let the comfort of a steady salary make you too lazy to actually push through on the side project.

This is a great mindset to have.
Every job teaches you skills you can leverage for your own business one day. If you can find one that teaches you the skills you need the most and aligned with some of your values, then even better!

    3. Okay, how is it with start ups that require years of years before revenue? If you don’t do it full time it’s going to take decades and then maybe what you develop is not relevant anymore.

      I agree.

**Life is like an RPG (game), and learning is like earning experience and leveling.**

**Also, when you work hard and learn, then 9-5 passes too fast.**

    5. I don’t know any seriously entrepreneur who started his business next to his 9-5. 100% of the success stories I know are from people who worked 60 hours on their startup / business until it succeeded.

This is great advice if you want to be in a 9-5 job with a “startup” on the side until you’re 70 years old.

      I can’t disagree more.
