ASTS surged nearly 7% today, clearly tied to recent progress in BlueBird satellite launches/deployment. The market is repricing the viability of the direct to mobile approach. Trading volume also expanded, reflecting strong sentiment.
But here's the catch: the stock price is outpacing fundamentals. Will sustained launches and genuine commercial partnerships keep the momentum going, or is this just another case of sell the news? This volatility is definitely not for the faint of heart.
Curious to hear your thoughts:
Is this the beginning of a long term story, or the peak of short term sentiment?
ASTS rose 7% today. Is this a strong upward trend or just speculation?

This is the year they start getting more revenue hopefully
Long term story. They have partnered with 50 telecom companies globally. They will have continuous coverage in several key markets (including US) by end of 2026. Their projected margins are insane (80-90%, not a meme)
7% feels a little low, wait to see where it closes 😛
ASTS might be on the cusp of a real growth story if BlueBird’s launches stay on track.
Asts Will be printing it’s own money soon. Getting in now is gonna feel very good
This is the year of the bull for ASTS!
Feels more like momentum and sentiment than a confirmed trend. The launches are real, but until revenue and contracts catch up, I’d treat these moves as speculative and expect big swings both ways.
I’m very bullish long term but this stock swings 5-10% most days
Speculation.
They need to launch 90 satellites, some say hundreds, and they just launched a grand total of 1 in all of 2025. Going against Starlink is a fool’s errand especially when they need SpaceX to launch their sats. Stock is running on pure hopium right now.
Will be out of business in 10 years lol
*Remind Me*
Everyone is way too bullish on a stock that has yet for a company that has yet to prove out that their satellites work with tens of thousands of connections at the same time.
Feels more like momentum based on news.
1. The next Bluebird is scheduled by Falcon.
2. Top tech no doubt.
3. Lot of partnership news, these are not contracts to get money.
4. Telecom sector doesn’t have that much FCF to execute within 4 Qtrs.
5. The volatility is bonkers.
I took the 7%.
I would strongly advise taking a look at the DD from the many experts they have on there Reddit group.
The cook report/ asts podcast are great sources of well researched info and there’s plenty of it.
Hope this helps☀️
