My brother has been hit with a double whammy. First the state banned flowers. Now the country has banned the hemp products. Weed isn’t legal in the state. He went from making $3000-5000 a day on the weekend to making $500 and after the hemp ban goes into affect he will not be able to operate. Any suggestions for how to pivot?

My brother was hit by the budget’a ban on hemp thc products. He has until July. What should he do?

Lots of other loophole products exist, the mushroom products sell very well for me. The ban doesn’t go into affect until November. Was it a separate state ruling?

    2. That’s a brutal shift. Pivoting fast usually means leaning on what infrastructure and audience he already has. Can he use the same delivery channels, customer base, or marketing for legal products that fit a similar vibe? Sometimes it’s about swapping the vertical rather than the whole model so something people already want in that lifestyle or weekend market, but fully legal.

    3. Have your brother come here to reddit and ask their own questions?

Have you brother come here and list their skills, experience, education, interests, etc

You seem to be confusing “hemp” with “thc” with “budget ban”, too – your brother might be able to give accurate info for useful feedback

    4. A lot can change in a year, keep selling and be vocal. The winds may swing in your favor it seems. Idk tho, good luck

What are you talking about? I’m in the hrmp biz and it isn’t banned…. Yet. It still sells.

    6. Same thing that happened to all the old growers/dealers, accept that it was a short term thing and quit and hope you saved a lot of the money.

I hate to say it, but a lot of those people have committed suicide, so try to be supportive too.
