Made money off of $ONDS today but I've started rethinking the choice within the industry. I'm starting to do research (highest number of ticker mentions in the sub) between these four unprofitable companies at the moment:
$AVAV – By far the most established and closest to turning profitable, high Inst Ownership, all for less room to grow. Also high Insider Ownership however. Zero hype.
$ONDS – Contender for worst financials in my opinion, by far the highest hype value. Very low Insider and Inst Ownership. Feels very overvalued but will never buy puts.
$RCAT – Meh financials. Medium Inst and Insider Ownership. Hype but I don't agree. The ticker is there but I can't see the point.
$UMAC – Newest, smallest, highest potential for growth. Currently horrible financials, and easily the best return if they all perform the same, but Trump Jr. advisory board sellout scares me a lot and I can't bring myself to trust it.
Thoughts/additions to the screener?
Like $LPTH and $AMPX so far, not sure how much run LPTH has left however.

Well, I’m too poor for AVAV, so ONDS is my speculative baby
Saw Red Cat’s Black Widow drones were instrumental in the Venezuela op. I invested in some long calls this morning. I also heavily invested in JEDI, a military drone ETF. No options available on that one though
Your research is counting the number of times a stock has been mentioned in this sub? You belong here for sure.
UMAC for sure. Who is on the advisory board is a plus in my mind.
I looked at these 4 as well, and decided instead to buy into the company that makes drone batteries AMPX
I’m waiting for that Anduril IPO

SHLD has been skyrocketing since inception. JEDI had a great day today too. You could own them all in one.
AVAV for sleeping, ONDS for gambling, UMAC for regret
I had invested in RCAT in November or December…started buying at 11 and stopped buying around $5.92. I had averaged to about $9.10 and cashed out before the market opened for around $9.40 a share. I should have held another hour but I was happy to be out of that stock.
Edit: I may hop back in the next time it drops to around $7.
big miss on PDYN cap, swarm control logic ripping 20% today alone
Forgot about LPTH
Amba
.
AVAV is the only one that makes sense if you actually want to make money instead of gambling. The others are pure meme stocks riding the drone hype wave
ONDS financials are legitimately horrifying but the retards here will pump it anyway. UMAC having Trump Jr involved is all you need to know about that one lmao
Rcat ceo is incompetent and/or liar, cant meet sales or even production goals after raising hordes of cash in reasonable timeframes.
The stock is priced for great execution and lots of new orders from army – which the army doesnt seem too keen on doing with rcat. Rcat has its moment of glory still with black widow, but their cto left so the company has no track left to say “they can keep innovating” in a business-meaningful way.
That said, the stock may well go to 13-16, before next quarter report, when it will crash again.
Same ceo in umac too, do what you will with this.
Hype = high for all drone stocks. They have yet to do financials. I would stick with those who can execute, or at least are without a track of being incapable of executing.
The company you want is ELS (Elsight) on the ASX. Thank me later.
KTOS (a bigger version of AVAV)
Redcat being integrated with Palantir makes me hopeful that they have a bit better of a chance for more units sold. Also the fact that they are approved to be sold to NATO members. Either way, there’s gotta be at least one winner in the U.S drone space, they definitely aren’t going with Chinese made drones. I guess we’ll see if they just decide to have a legacy defense company like Lockheed make them or a new up and comer.
UMAC
Consider droneshield asx as well…
Nah KTOS was the play.
All of these are meme plays at the end of the day. Onds has been going up every day for the last week without much news, is that retail or just algos piling in and then use retail to exit?
Probably a good idea to keep any of these short term plays until there is more viable information on the long term.
Does anyone else think the upcoming investor day is going to crash ONDS? Surely reminding people of the financials is going to cause issues
I miss the pre-hype onds days. easy buy signals as every time the price moved 5% in a day on no news you knew it was insider trading by politicians and you had the next day or two to get your trade in before news broke. easiest and fastesr 5 bagger of my life since I don’t do options
