You know the story, the bad apple takes over the dying elderly, hides their illness in secret, makes a new Will to get the house, control everything and steal more from the pot before the rest of the family finds out.

I suspect this for many reasons but especially because I might have evidence based on the '2023 Athene Annuity Annual statement' I was given that is supposed to be "official."

Frankly, the Athene Statement looks tampered with because the font in the first few pages is in Helvecia or Arial, with little documentation surrounding the statement values and shows no transaction details, though a large withdraw was made. The remaining pages look legit, made with a font that looks professional, as if it was specifically made for Athene. I just don't believe these are the original statements.

So my big ask to Reddit is – if anyone has an Athene Annuity Annual Statement thats fairly recent, can you tell me the if the font type in the first few pages that show Accumulated Values, Owner, Contract Number, Account Type, etc are all in Helvecia/Arial font?

I just have a hard time believing Athene uses this font and the same clunky footer number and footnotes I used in middle school, when the rest of the document appears more sleek.

I will call Athene tomorrow, but I'm not the account holder, the fraudster is, so I am betting I'll have a much better chance of asking Reddit than Athene.

Suspected "family" fraud – Is Helvetica or Arial font on your Athene Annuity Statement?
