I recently got a letter from State Farm that my policy had been changed, and it added 2 additional drivers, my parents (just them as drivers, not their cars). I never requested to have them added. Any reason why they would do this? Will this make my policy cheaper because they’re good drivers or more expensive because there’s more people?

[TN] State Farm added my parents onto my auto insurance, why/what does this mean?

    1. Unsure of the specifics on TN. But are one of them registered owners / co owners of any of your cars?

If your mom has use of the vehicle more often than once a month, then they will add her as a driver to make sure the policy is adequately rated for the risk. Talk to your agent if they are not regular users of your vehicles. The agent should get the correction made.
