Hi All,
Our car was rear ended by a semi truck 2 weeks ago in washington. The truck hit few more cars and our car was totalled. Me and my wife have soft-tissue injuries (back, neck pain). We got checked by a doctor and was suggested physiotherapy. Is it worth to file a claim towards the truck insurance in this case.
Our car was on lease and we were planning to buy it after the lease ends. Buying/ leasing the same car today is costly as we got ev tax benefits 2 years ago which is not available now. Our car insurance will pay the current value of the car to the leaser. Overall we are at a loss regarding our car.
Semi truck accident. Is it worth to contact a lawyer for claim

Generally speaking no.
Your injuries are not significant enough to pay enough money to pay the lawyer, and pay you too, they will end up getting the Lion’s share of the money. You will also have to fake your injuries too increase the payout.
Not worth it.
The doctor recommended that you exercise to fix yourself.
Always worth it when you’re hit by a semi.
You’ll get nothing additional for the car because you are owed nothing additional. It’s not even your car, the pitfalls of leases.
You definitely have a bodily injury claim to make with the truck’s insurance. Get an attorney if you want, may not be needed at all. Commercial insurance can be quite the pain to deal with sometimes though.
Just don’t settle any injury claim until your injuries and treatment have resolved and you have all your medical bills.
