This was intentional, of course. The Trump admin knows that Venezuela provides Cuba’s oil for free, and that their kidnapping would stop that.

My guess is that Trump wants Cuba for real estate development, like he said he wants for Gaza once he gets rid of all those pesky people living there.

Because of the US embargo the situation in Cuba has been terrible for its citizens for over 50 years but has deteriorated these last few years to a level resembling a slow torture. Anything beside the current situation is better. If that means we achieve regime change there, so be it.

    3. how is this called a “military victory”? It is a simple illegal kidnapping that may start a occupation and war. To use the term military victory is prejudicial propaganda in support of the Trump regime. Shame on you for presenting yourself as a factual news organization.

Changing for the guard is better for Cuba. Shared housing and shared everything for common people. Everyone are sacrificing so no one left behind. Cute ideology.

Meanwhole , the shotcallers have luxury yachts and luxury real estate all over the Caribbean . lol

    5. Rubio is the only one that has two brain cells to rub together in this administration, and you know he made a deal to put up with these idiots.

Anyone supporting Cuba is the enemy, and shutting down Venezuela is just a stepping stone to crushing Cuba. Rubio is only putting up with these idiots in exchange for Cuba.

You know its personal for him.

To be honest the Cuban population is so used to there being no power that this won’t faze people living there

It was already a common occurrence to having power outages pretty often back in the day and in current times it’s a daily thing even with Venezuelan oil

Really when the people of Cuba are forced to having a non working country what can you do that makes this worse

I don’t think people living elsewhere realize what some of the people in Cuba day to day is like

There is no where to go but up at this point

    7. Nobody in the USA really cared that Castro ousted Baptista. They cared when Castro nationalized the extensive investments Americans had in Cuba and when the hundred of thousands of Castro opponents had to give up all their property and flee the country.

Castro and friends became filthy rich and blamed America for all their ills even though he caused all the problems. He could have avoided an embargo by leaving the private property alone but no he was greedy. He basically imposed a 100% wealth tax and kept a bunch of it himself.

Castros defenders hate the Cuban people
