Long story short. The at fault driver refused to share the info of his insurance after the accident. And my insurance is in vestigation tho, if it's def time consuming, how long would it take to know whether the vehicle is insured or not?
Is it a time consuming to find the insurance info of the vehicle I was rear ended by for my insurance company?

Depends on how much you got for them at the scene. Plate number? Any contact info at all? The vehicle may be insured, but they’ll need to find insurance, file a claim, and the other insurance will need to determine if this driver is on the policy and that the vehicle’s coverage hasn’t lapsed. Could take weeks to months. Pro tip, always call police if they are not exchanging information.
