Help figuring out Teacher loan forgiveness

Trying to figure out options for my wife to get her loans forgiven after going the resources on this site

Background information:

• Has been a science teacher for 7 years in a qualifying low income school (we’ve never missed a payment)

• Has 12,000 in federal loans left

• her mother has like 10,000 left in parent plus loans

• she is debating taking out another 4-5k to finish her masters (12 credits left)

So my question is do we wait till she takes out grad school loans to use TLF, not sure the new debt would qualify since it would be taken out after her first 5 qualifying years, or would it be better to wait 3 years and use PSLF

The other consideration is the parent plus loans, I know these programs don’t forgive PLUS loans but is there a way we can consolidate the loans before applying for forgiveness.
