Is showing AOC a thinly veiled attempt of insinuation, or is there merit there?

Johnson won’t bring the bill to the floor and if he does bring a bill it will be watered down or full of anti trans policy or something that is a poison pill. This shit is all for optics.

This bill doesn’t do anything but allow them to further obfuscate their criminal activity. The government is basically a criminal enterprise at this point .

cool cool. How about a ban on creating your own crypto currency and then allowing anyone in the world to buy it, effectively bribing you with millions (billions?) of dollars?

Interesting. So the mid terms are coming up, and only now do the republicans present law that will actually help the populace. Such as capping credit card rates, banning blackrocks from buying single family homes, now banning of inside trading to return some integrity to politics
Its so obvious.

Great, not they are going to have to go old school corruption and just collect money from ‘donors’ and PACs.

We’re seeing the horseshoe theory play-out in real time.
If you had to predict, a few years ago, who would end up proposing the following things, most people would have said Bernie Sanders or AOC. Instead, it’s the MAGA wing of the Trump movement:
* Ban on corporate ownership of single family homes
* Directing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to invest $200 billion in mortgage bonds (direct government manipulation of the housing market)
* Ban on stock trading by members of Congress
* No tax on tips or social security earnings
* Federally funded housing projects to increase supply
* Capping credit card interest rates at 10%
* Capping prices on thousands of drugs
* Taking an ownership stake in private companies (the government now either has an ownership stake or the option to purchase a stake in 9 companies including giants like Intel and US Steel)
* and the biggest one of all…implementing widespread tariffs on imported goods
Every single one of these proposals, all of which are now core tenants of Trump’s economic policy, were previously proposed by the progressive wing of the democratic party. Granted, some of this has been implemented in Trump’s typical chaotic fashion, thereby undermining its effectiveness. But these are nevertheless mostly progressive proposals that his MAGA political allies previously stonewalled and decried as socialism or outright communism, yet are now supporting out of fear of retribution.
It’s the horseshoe theory right before our eyes.

I’ll take it, but let’s go one step further ban their spouses and immediate family of trading stocks as well.

Should have done this during the pandemic to remove all conflicts of interest.
