My buddy told me to buy rocket lab at $45 a share now it just hit $90. Considering selling but I do believe that there are more things to come with this company. Its just very very bullish in these unpredictable markets. Ive doubled my initial investment which im very happy about just wanted tk hear from others.

In such cases if you feel worried, then for example sell the amount of stocks to get back your initial investment.

    2. I bought 2000 shares at $4 and I sold half of them when it hit $36 about 3 months ago and it’s the biggest mistake of my entire life so far. The valuation at this level makes no sense, but I’m never selling again. Atleast not for a few years.

RKLB is a long term play, I allocate 5% of my monthly stock buys to RKLB and will continue doing so until I no longer believe in the company or I feel my funds are better suited elsewhere.

I’ll probably be doing this for 10-20 years.

If i was currently trading and not investing however (i do both), now would be my sell and id move on until RKLB has a decent pull back and go long again. I dont do this with my ‘investing’ money though.

If the pullback doesnt happen then it doesnt matter because i keep my investment and there’s 100s of thinga to trade.

    4. I hold more than a 1,000 shares. Have been holding since it was a spac known as VACQ in 2021/2022 made rklb go public at $10 a share. Saw it ride up to 20$ a share at its highest point then back to $3. I never sold a single share when people said it was overvalued at even $6 a share. Never sold even when I was down 70%.

Im now up over 6 figures gain and can afford a down payment on a house in a west coast city with high cost of living.

Im still not selling, im holding for another 3-5 years easily.

    5. Always take some profits. It is not 0% or 100%, just sell 30% for now, getting most of your original funds out and rebalance your portfolio.

    6. I’m not buying but I’m not selling either.

I think it’s currently very overpriced on its fundamentals, even factoring in growth multiples but they’re executing well and SpaceX is planning to IPO this year for an insane price making RKLB look somewhat reasonable.

    7. I bought 10 call options back in March 2024 for about $800. It’s now worth about $82k. Wish that I had bought more

I rode it from 14 to 77 and sold for 60k profit. Crazy it hit 92 today, never expected that. Its a great company, with amazing leadership and a bright future imo. But i think its due for a pullback, or it blasts past 100 who knows

Hoping for a pullback so i can get back in lol

If you ask, it means you want to sell some. Never hurts taking 25% after a 100% run.

    10. I imagine probably every response is going to tell you not to sell. When everyone is at their most optimistic about a stock; this is what peak optimism looks like. It’s about 80-90x Sales without profit. Obviously there are a lot of good things happening with the company, but I’ll be the fool I guess to say this is what a top looks like. It happened with PLTR at 210, and you can see that the momentum has shifted. Obviously great products but these things do top at this kind of valuation at some point.

I play it pretty safe but that’s me . I tend to sell some stock off that’s up big and put a little in ETFs as I make gains.

    12. RKLB definitely seems bullish. I did an analysis in [Magic Signal](https://magicsignal.app/) and just bought more. I don’t want to take up too much real estate here so here’s a short snippet from the full analysis:

      Key Highlights:

Secured a record $816 million Space Development Agency contract to build 18 missile warning/tracking satellites, effectively doubling Rocket Lab’s contract backlog.

Stock has surged nearly 280% over the past year, hitting new all-time and 52-week highs, driven by major contract wins and continued performance momentum.

Backlog now sits at $1.1 billion, with 57% expected to convert to revenue within 12 months, providing strong near-term visibility.

Q3 revenue posted at $155.08 million—up 48% year-over-year—beating analyst expectations and marking an operational milestone.

Neutron rocket development targeted for a mid-2026 orbital launch remains a critical growth catalyst; any delays could be a downside risk.

Market cap of $47.5 billion highlights significant investor confidence, but also implies a full valuation and limited margin for execution missteps.

Analyst sentiment is broadly bullish, with several recent upgrades and raised price targets, though the current share price exceeds consensus targets.

I’ve had it since it was $3 a share and I’m still holding. This is one of those that will develop into a dividend stock or continue to pump into the $150 range. It’s essentially a space/tech/defense stock

    14. Separate-Education36 on

I’m figuring it should continue to increase by 2% per trading day on average for the next year. It should be a bigger company than meta at that point, which makes sense because everyone one uses one of those companies and the other people have never heard of.

    15. Space companies are hot right now, hold on for a bit. Rocketlab also has their neutron rockets to look forward to.

Only thing you have to fear is the president not taco’ing and starting a for realsies war or the economic depression happening sooner than later. I know everyone is like they’re gonna prop it up until midterms, but the signs are there, like all my friends who went to conventions recently posting how they got the whole aisles to themselves… on both flights. Hope the bad news passes and this year is not the year.
