What is making ASTS / SNDK so special rising up to 400% / 800% Year?
According to the image
ASTS – https://imgur.com/a/4o9YiFm
SNDK – https://imgur.com/a/Ws9CECL
ASTS – The company is bleeding income, great sales q/q but bad margins
Is it because of a space race or government contracts?
SNDK – Company is in the hole for income, good PEG, bad return on assets/equity, bad profit margins
Looking at these numbers I wouldn't want to invest or I can just imagine how the numbers were a year ago, what made people want to invest in this company? What is causing the rise?
I personally invested in SNDK a few months ago because of storage devices, no other company i know of that creates storage despite bad numbers
What is making ASTS/SNDK special? $4 to $118? / $38 to $406

SNDK: With an expoential rise in AI-generated images, videos, etc demand for memory has skyrocketed.
There is a memory shortage (https://mashable.com/article/micron-memory-ram-shortage-not-ending-soon-ai), prices have been soaring and if you would look at other memory names (STX, WDC, etc) you can see all of the names have done exceptionally well.
ASTS is pre revenue, they are still in the build phase and launching satellites slowly, the market is forward looking so expecting a good business, could still be risky.
Hence the low income etc
FOMO
People are speculating pretty strongly that space will be the next best thing. As such, companies like ASTS and RKLB have been mooning. This, plus the fact that whenever a stock rockets up, there’s always the crowd of people investing on hype/FOMO, creating massive short term rallies, as (in my view) is happening now.
In my view, space is different from AI in the sense that testing and any changes takes months and years, as opposed to seconds and minutes for AI. So I personally believe it won’t be for at least another decade before space really starts to impact the everyday lives of people.
ASTS: cell towers in space, basically no need to invest in local infrastructure in rural/remote locations and use satellite instead. There are already in beta and customers (a lot of major telecom companies) should start providing services very soon.
Their technology doesn’t require new hardware changes for smartphones (unlike spacex), so everyone can use it through those telecom companies. Plus there is no competition/fear of losing customers (unlike spacex), so a lot of companies want to use ASTS technology.
ASTS is lined up for defense contracts, they said there’s over 10 different services they could provide to the DOD from golden dome to item tracking, once they have this constellation up, they will be able to provide continuous 5G across the United States of America, which I’m assuming we’ll have a ton of utility
I invested in ASTS a year ago because I’m confident that this is the direction communications are headed. Billionaires are bored here on earth. Space is the play. Don’t sleep on it or you’re going to miss out. I’m up just shy of $700K with ASTS in one year alone. And they’re just getting started. Or sleep on it, no difference to me lol I’ll be retired end of 2026 at this rate.
ASTS ist still pre revenue. In 2023 there was a risk that they would run out of cash and that their tech wouldnt work. They had to dilute quite a lot, which drove the share price down.
But they made it through, got some great invstments from AT&T and Alphabet. Right now they have enough cash on hand and their tech is already tested and proven. So right now its only a matter of when they will start getting revenue and if they really will be printing cash.
When they have all their satellites up there, it is expected, that their margins will be 90%+.
For 2030 deutsche Bank is expecting ASTS to have revenues of about 10 billion a year and a profit of 4 billion a year, with a growth of 30+% oer year.
So yeah, right now they may be expensive, but in 2030 a valuation of 200 billion could be possible, which would be a share price of 500 usd.
r/asts paints a good picture. Retail money is strong with this one.
I bought asts at $18 and sold it all at $97
I think it could go much higher but I just couldn’t resist realising 5-6x gains.
ASTS is a juggernaut and will be a pillar of the global economy. Will have 10x the average direct to cell speeds compared with Starlink which needs 50x more satellites. Someone quietly beating Starlink is a big deal to some investors.
Ive been eyeing sndk since 40$ and didn’t enter…
ASTS has P/S at $2293. Who and why is buying this stock?
Asts is in a short squeeze right now driving the price up btw
