Twice now I've been assigned to two different doctors and they either aren't accepting my HMO or no longer even practicing with my insurance provider. I am at my wits end with this insurance. I've had it over a year and have still not been able to be assigned. I've tried assigning myself on the website only to wait the 2 weeks or whatever for coverage…and then calling the doctors office within that time frame, only for me to hear that they are not accepting my insurance. I literally sat on the phone today for 2 hours with BCBS and begged them to find me a provider. I was told that I was assigned and good to go…she even told me she called the provider to make sure they were A) in network and B) accepting new patients. Then I call said doctors office and they don't accept it. I don't even know what to do other then wait for October to roll around and get off this terrible insurance I pay 140 a month for! Please give me advice on who I should ask for when I call. This is insane and has been the bane of my health getting worse and worse over the last year.

Contact your States Department of insurance. That will definitely get their attention.
