Here we go again with the tariffs.. Trump just announced 10% tariffs on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland “until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.” and by June 1ste the tariff will go up to 25%. I'm afraid we're in for a ride again. No way in hell they will sell him Greenland. This is batshit crazy!

Trump imposes 10% Tariff on 7 EU countries + UK which will increase to 25% by June if he doesn't get Greenland. This is batshit crazy!

    1. Gotta be the dumbest lamest worst stupidest president of all time.

Good job turning the USA into the laughing stock of the world.

I seriously wonder if this is to try dip the market -> get his buddies to buy the dip -> walk it back

Or he’s just going off on one and will forget. It would be insanity for him to fight with Europe

    3. My read:

      1. The threat of force was a bluff which Europe has now called with their little exercise. The White House is only dimly aware of public opinion outside of Twitter but I think even that dim awareness is enough for them to know that using force would be a catastrophe domestically.
      2. The tariffs are mostly for Twitter content consumption and the 25% tariff won’t actually come into effect.
      3. The admin will announce some agreement for a joint EU-US military mission on Greenland on May 20th and pretend like that was their goal all along.
      4. The dumb harbor seals in the media and on Twitter will clap and bark for Trump like they always do and they’ll help him pretend like he never wanted to annex Greenland in the first place.

How can we profit off this?
I get that it’s radical moves and we can’t time anything / don’t have insider knowledge, but what can we learn from the market in the past few months/year that he’s been up to his antics?

How do we ride the wave his cronies are profiting from and get a little ourselves?

    5. Steadily increasing tariffs towards the mid terms does not seen that smart of a thing to do.

If anyone thinks this will lead to actual crisis they are painfully ignorant. The EU by all intents and purposes are vassals/satellite of the US. Our rulers will do anyrhing Uncle Sam asks.

    7. This tariff move is wild 10% on goods from the UK/EU starting Feb. 1 just to push a Greenland deal? That’s not something markets were pricing in.
