Serious question. Not talking about trading or DeFi — just boring everyday stuff like sending money to family, paying freelancers abroad, or receiving payments from another country.
In theory crypto/stablecoins should be perfect for this: instant transfers, low fees, no SWIFT delays. But everyone I know still uses banks or apps like Wise and just accepts the fees and wait times.
Feels like there’s a gap between “crypto can do this” and “people actually trust/use it.”
If you’ve tried it, what stopped you from continuing? Off-ramping? Regulations? Too complex? Didn’t feel safe? Would love to hear real experiences.
Do people actually use crypto for sending money internationally?
