Traditional IRA to Roth TSP?

hi! I got out of service almost ten years ago and have just over 10k in my Roth TSP. I am 30 and want to continue investing but have no plans to go back into a government job. should I just open a Roth IRA and have two retirement plans, or open a traditional IRA and roll over (whatever much I can every year) to my Roth TSP? help!
