I’m looking at buying a used SUV (all that I can afford at the moment & must be an SUV) that has a rebuilt title, and I’m trying to figure out the insurance side before committing.

I understand rebuilt titles are more difficult to insure, but I’m specifically wondering:

    – Are there any insurance companies that will offer full coverage (comprehensive + collision) on a rebuilt title?

    – If so, which companies have you all had success with?

    – what did they require (inspections, photos, or documentation for repairs)?

    – Was the premium significantly higher compared to a clean title?

    – How does insurance value the car if it’s totaled again?

I know liability-only is common, but I would really prefer full coverage if possible as this will become the family car & this is our first car purchase. Just trying to understand what’s realistic before we go car shopping on Saturday.

Any real experiences or company recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks!

Are there any insurance company's that will provide full coverage for a "Rebuilt" car??
