I had the perfect case study in a folder somewhere, though by some divine intervention I couldnt manage to find it at the right moment.

    Prospect was basically sold. During our last call, he hits me with some bs like "do you have any customers in industry who saw results?"

    We do.

    But could i find the right quote or case study in that moment? no.

    Sent him a followup e-mail two hours later with the perfect testimonial attached. Never heard back. this isnt the first time either. I have got proof points scattered across slack, emails, folders and random docs. When I need them fast, I can never find the right one.

    Surely I cant be the only one losing deals like this.

    Lost a deal because prospect said "i just dont see proof this works for companies like mine" during call

    1. Happens to me all the time. It’s not BS for a prospective client (although he probably didn’t ask in good faith like so many do) to ask this although it feels bad for sure. Now you’ll be better prepared for the next time.

      I also learned how to refine my ICP and turn away fire kickers sooner than later. Close rates are above 80% now. You’ll eventually get there.
