A little bit of a rant here, but I am tired of apps turning into platforms, like cloud storage is supposed to be boring. I just want to store files, share a link when needed, and not feel like the product.
So my rant is towards platforms like Google Drive, we transfer and internxt, i personally felt in the beginning these were easy to use, like most apps, but now as the years have gone by and AI has gone into the picture, they have overcomplicated things so much that it is like I need to relearn them and treat them like full on platforms.
Anyone else feeling the same?
Anyone else tired of apps turning into platforms?

Yeah I know what you mean, I am a bit surprised you had issues with internxt though.
Google Enshittification
This hits hard, I’ve been using Google Drive since college days and now it feels like they want me to learn their whole ecosystem just to upload a PDF
Same thing happened with Notion – started as simple note-taking app, now it’s trying to be project management, database, wiki, and probably wants to do my taxes too. Sometimes I just miss when apps did one thing really well instead of trying to become everything for everyone
The AI integration makes it worse because now there’s popup suggestions and smart features I never asked for. Just let me drag and drop files in peace
