I'm at my wit's end with EdFinancial misreporting my balances to the credit bureaus. EdFinancial held my two student loans but when I applied for PSLF in 2022 and my loans were transferred to MOHELA in 2023. Later that year, the balances were fully forgiven by MOHELA. This all reflects accurately on all three credit reports as well as on the FedLoans website. However, EdFinancial has continued to report outstanding balances to all three credit bureaus. Not showing that they're late, just that these balances are sitting there. I've talked to EdFinancial, they've confirmed that I have no balance (in fact, I'm not even really in their system anymore) and I disputed them to the credit bureaus. The EdFinancial balances were subsequently removed. However, a few months later, the EdFinancial balances were added BACK onto my credit reports. EdFinancial told me to send a certified letter to them with all the supporting documentation, which I did, but they still appear on my credit report. I feel like EdFinancial must be using some 3rd party reporting company that is not getting current info from EdFinancial, but I don't know what to do. EdFinancial insists that there is no balance but even after being cleared up, it got reported again and reappeared. Any suggests on where I turn next? The credit bureaus have only offered that I can just add a short statement to my reports explaining "my side", but that's it.
EdFinancial continues to misreport to the credit bureaus
