When being frugal is a choice how do you Turn off your frugalness to buy something you don’t necessarily need or is more expensive than it has to be? I am fortunate enough to be frugal but I have a hard time shutting it off when I want something I know breaks the frugal way. I would being interested if anyone else experiences this and how they go about trying to break the habit

i have a budget that accounts for every dollar i make. when i want something, i put money aside each month until i have enough to buy it.
I think maybe you are confused about what frugality is. Frugality does not mean that you are only allowed to buy “needs” and never “wants”, or always only buying the cheapest option for everything. You can buy “wants” and buy more expensive items while still being frugal.
