What is TasteMaker

TasteMaker is a Web3 platform on Solana that lets fans own a real share of music (albums, tours, merch) via tokenized real-world assets (RWA). Artists propose projects, e.g. an album; fans back them with $TASTE. When the project delivers, backers get RWA tokens that represent direct ownership and can earn royalties. No pooling: each fan’s purchase is an individual wallet transaction. Artists keep control; fans get governance (e.g. voting on producer, album art). Fan-funded music with ownership and upside, not just tipping.

Why devnet and why we’re here

The app and core programs (taste_token, project_escrow, governance, rwa_token) are live on Solana devnet and open-source: github.com/Tastemaker-inc/tastemaker-programs. We’re in beta to fix bugs before mainnet. $TASTE is the platform token. All backing and fees flow in $TASTE. There’s a 2% burn on transactions and buyback/burn from platform revenue; staking and governance add utility. Caveats (DYOR)

This is devnet only. Test tokens, no real money. Mainnet timing and airdrop details will be announced later. We’re early. The model is built for real music projects and RWA, but adoption and regulatory outcomes are uncertain. Do your own research and only participate if the product and use case make sense to you.

What we need from you

Go to https://tastemaker.music, sign in (email, Google, or wallet). Switch your wallet to Solana Devnet. Get test SOL and $TASTE from the faucet, complete your profile, and back at least 2 projects. Report bugs, UX issues, or suggestions through the app. Early testers who do that qualify for $TASTE rewards at mainnet launch.
