Concerts have become the symbols of capitalist greed with the LIVE Nation & Ticketmaster price gouging people for $500 each. The FOMO is unreal
A) I usually attend the smaller ones for free or under $50 to support indie artist.
B) Attend Coachella Music Festival for under $50 each concert with group of 4 friends dividing the cost. Driving 1 hr for affordable hotels or car camping on site when weather it mild. The organizer had do festivals 2 hours away from LA with Pearl Jam to get away Ticketmaster.
Going solo is rather expensive but possible on tight budget.
C) Watch Coachella Live Stream or Other international festivals for free from my home with 150 inch $100 Wall Projector and $30 2.1 speakers. Its only available for a week. it would cost me several thousand to attend a overseas music festival, but still cheaper attending LIVE Nation concert in US. No way I'm blowing my saving and retirement for 4 hours of fun.
How do you enjoy live music at big stages frugally without the big ticket price tag?

See if there are opportunities to volunteer at the venue. Find out which companies have the security contacts with venues you like and see if they ever have need for part-time help. You may need to work some shifts with them beforehand to get the shifts for big name concerts.
Try recreating that feeling of live music in your living room with a flat screen and 30$ speakers. As much as I like watching live streams of concerts it’s nowhere close to the real thing
