I've been trying to lower my monthly food costs by a lot and I've managed to get it down to around $80-$120 a month currently, just based on how much I actually decide to eat. But the biggest problem I have with this is that I literally don't eat any meat at all. I used to eat ground beef once a week or more, the occasional rack of ribs on sale for like $5, pork chops, and a small amount of chicken.

Since I want to include meats in my diet, what stores typically have the cheapest out of the ones nearby? There is an Aldi's, WinCo, Costco, Sam's Club, and Walmart all within a 1 mile radius of me. I know Costco is really good for buying stuff in bulk and would likely be good for my situation of buying meats in bulk then freezing whatever I'm not going to use immediately, plus it comes with the benefit of the cheap food court for occasional meals. WinCo is normally really cheap with everything they have there from what I've seen. But beyond those two I'm not sure where to go for this. Does anyone have experience buying from several of these places to know which has cheaper proteins?

Out of these stores which has the cheapest proteins?

Stores often run loss leader sales weekly and will have a few proteins included. Kind of have to shop the sales to get best deals.

    2. Your best bet is to watch the local ad/flyer and check any coupons that come around! Costco and Sam’s are both bulk and require memberships (there’s lots of comparison lists online to see which is a better fit for you, they both have benefits beyond bulk buying, I’d suggest getting at least one & they do run membership promos).
