I had just gotten home from getting my hair cut at a Walmart ($12.99 + $2.01 tip – I'd just hand the lady $15 in cash) when I started wandering around eBay. For some reason a Flowbee hair cutting system popped up, so I took a chance and forked out $45.00 for it (including shipping). That was in 2005, and have used it every two months since then. It's super easy, hooks up to my vacuum, and takes about 5 minutes.
When I used to pay for them, I'd go every 3 months. That's 80 haircuts, $1,200, assuming that they haven't raised their prices.
I have no affiliation with Flowbee, just wanted to share my experience with how I saved a bunch of money over the years.
I've saved over $1,000 over the years

I think it’s fabulous when people can cut their own hair. When I was a little, my Mom cut ours nicely.
I personally couldn’t cut my own hair because I need layers and have curls, but it’s brilliant if it works for you 😃
